This policy covers personal information handled by Final Gear Auto Co., Ltd. and its overseas offices in the course of quoting for, selling and exporting new and used vehicles, supplying used parts and half-cuts, and arranging the freight and customs work around them.
Your name and contact details, the destination country and port, company and tax identifiers where a commercial invoice or import permit requires them, the vehicle or part you enquired about, your correspondence with our staff, and the payment record for any transaction. We do not collect information that a sale or a shipment does not need.
To answer your enquiry and quote for it, to prepare the invoice, export certificate and bill of lading, to complete customs and pre-shipment inspection formalities, to support you after the vehicle or part arrives, and to meet the record-keeping periods Japanese trade and tax law imposes on an exporter.
Our own staff, the auction house where a vehicle is sourced, the shipping line, the inspection body where your destination requires a certificate, and the customs authorities at both ends. Nobody else. We do not sell contact data, and we do not pass it to other exporters, auction agents or marketing agencies under any arrangement.
Transaction records — including export certificates and de-registration paperwork — are held for seven years as required by Japanese law. Enquiries that do not become orders are deleted after twenty-four months. Marketing consent, where given, lapses automatically after three years unless renewed.
Write to the address below and ask to see, correct, restrict or delete what we hold. We will confirm your identity and respond within thirty days. There is no charge, and refusing a marketing message will never affect service on a live order or shipment.
