Policy on Unlawful Demands

How we respond to intimidation, extortion and organised crime.

1. Position

Final Gear Auto Co., Ltd. does not trade with, employ, fund or accept introductions from organised criminal groups or any party acting on their behalf — whether as a buyer, an auction agent, a parts supplier, a freight intermediary or a shareholder — in Japan or in any market where we operate.

2. Nobody Handles It Alone

An employee who receives an unlawful demand is required to stop and escalate. Responding, negotiating or settling personally is a breach of policy, not an act of initiative. The obligation sits with the company, never with the individual who happened to answer the phone or meet someone at the yard.

3. Outside Help Comes Early

We maintain standing relationships with the police, our external counsel and the relevant prefectural violence-exclusion centre, and we contact them at the first credible demand rather than after an attempt to resolve matters quietly.

4. No Quiet Settlements

We do not pay to make a demand go away, and we do not agree terms that cannot be described openly. Where a demand is unlawful we pursue it through civil and criminal channels and accept the disruption that follows — including to a shipment already booked.

5. Counterparty Checks

New buyers, suppliers and agents are screened before the first transaction. Where a relationship is later found to fall within this policy it is terminated, and our sales and supply contracts carry a clause permitting us to do so immediately and without compensation.

6. Protection For Staff

No employee will be disadvantaged for reporting a concern under this policy, including a concern that turns out to be unfounded. Reports may be made confidentially to the Representative Director.
